Chon (band)
Chon (stylized as CHON) is an American progressive rock band from San Diego, California. The band originally comprised bassist/vocalist Esiah Camarena, drummer Nathan Camarena, and guitarists Erick Hansel and Mario Camarena. Esiah was out of the band by the time they released their debut EP, Newborn Sun, in 2013, replaced by bassist Drew Pelisek. On November 8, 2015, Chon has stated on their twitter that they have parted ways with Drew Pelisek due to artistic differences.〔https://twitter.com/CHONofficial/status/663457459994947584〕 It was also confirmed by Drew on a personal account. 〔https://www.instagram.com/p/9zZ6j4SRAN/〕
==History==
Chon began in 2008 with the recording of a self-titled demo. They returned in 2013 with the release of their debut EP titled ''Newborn Sun''. The following year Chon released their second EP titled ''Woohoo!''. In December of 2014, Chon signed with Sumerian Records and announced they are releasing their debut full length the following year. On February 5, 2015, the band announced their debut full length titled ''Grow'' will be released in March of 2015. On March 5, the band premiered their song ''Can't Wait'' from the album via Red Bull. They released the album on March 24. Eight days prior the band embarked on a 27 date tour supporting Circa Survive.
